Monique Silva is Head of Information Technology at Progressive Building Society, where she provides strategic leadership across technology, data, cyber security, governance, and change and is the senior executive owner for technology‑related risk and resilience. She is accountable for shaping and delivering the Society’s IT strategy, strengthening operational resilience, for the resilience of technology supporting the Society’s important business services, and ensuring technology effectively supports regulatory expectations, member outcomes, and long‑term growth.

Since joining Progressive in 2019, Monique has led a significant modernisation programme across the organisation, including cloud transformation, digital channel development, strengthened IT and data governance, and the introduction of proportionate, responsible AI adoption. She works closely with Executive and Board committees, providing oversight and assurance on technology and transformation risk, outsourcing, and strategic change.

She is committed to ensuring technology change is delivered in a way that is secure, inclusive, and aligned to the Society’s mutual purpose. Monique is passionate about building resilient, high‑performing teams, with a strong focus on capability development, succession planning, and creating an environment that supports continuous learning, upskilling, and effective knowledge transfer.
