David is a Partner in TLT’s Technology, IP & Data team, based at the firm’s Manchester office.

David is recognised as a leading Technology and Fintech lawyer in the major legal directories. He is an authority on technology-driven procurement, outsourcing and digital transformation, with a particular focus on clients in the Financial Services, Retail and Digital sectors.

David works with clients across the UK Building Societies sector, giving advice on strategic contracting, supply chain risk, legal technology, and digitalisation projects. David and the TLT team also work closely with the BSA to provide training and thought leadership to BSA members online and at in-person events.

More broadly, David advises clients across the FS sector including global banks, challenger banks, payment service providers, global service providers and outsourcers. He is a core member of TLT’s FS Commercial practice and leads TLT’s work in FinTech, Payments and Open Banking, frequently securing national and specialist press coverage, speaking slots and conference panel appointments to talk to clients and the wider industry about these new and interesting areas of law and technology.
