CHOSEN CONFERENCE CHARITY
Fresh Start is an Edinburgh-based charity that supports people moving on from homelessness by providing essential goods and services that help them settle into their new home. Fresh Start’s services include Starter Packs of essential household items, access to white goods and a redecorating service, all of which help people turn empty tenancies into warm, healthy and comfortable homes.
Fresh Start also offers social and food support services, including cooking classes, a Community Pantry and garden spaces, all of which help build new skills, confidence and a sense of community, as well as supporting improved physical and mental wellbeing. By equipping individuals and families with the basics they need, Fresh Start helps people to make a home for themselves, and to settle into the next chapter of their lives with dignity. There will be an opportunity to hear from Fresh Start and to donate at the conference dinner.
