Teddy joined OneFamily as its Chief Finance Officer in 2016 and was appointed as CEO in January 2020. As a member of the Executive Team, Teddy has been instrumental in improving the organisation’s efficiency and performance whilst refocusing on what’s important to its members.
Born in rural Zimbabwe, Teddy graduated from Pretoria’s University of South Africa in the late 90’s, becoming the first accountant in his family. His career has taken him around the world with a series of high-profile roles within start-ups and global multi-billion-pound household names such as Ernst & Young, Aviva and Royal London as well as working as a specialist adviser at the FSA. During this time, he has continued his education – earning an MBA from the London Business School in 2011.
Teddy is a strong supporter of diversity, inclusion and equality. A passionate believer in social mobility and financial inclusion; he is using his position as CEO of OneFamily to help the young, the disadvantaged and the marginalised to reach beyond their expectations. His view is that everyone in society should have the same opportunities to access financial products – regardless of their wealth.
