Sam leads partnerships and insight at UK Community Foundations, working with the 47 community foundations across the UK and national funders to grow resources for local communities. Sam’s work focuses on building ambitious national collaborations, using data and evidence to guide the network and championing the impact of community foundations.

Sam has worked in the UK and international funding and charity sector for 20 years and has held senior roles in a number of leading UK grant-makers. She has led major collaborations, including a pooled fund of more than 20 funders during the Covid 19 pandemic, and was a founding Director of Collaboration Circle, the first systems change focused pooled fund vehicle in the UK. In the course of her work building partnerships and collaborations Sam has worked with the National Lottery Community Fund, Children in Need, Comic Relief, and others. She also holds board roles at Amnesty International UK and the Clothworkers’ Foundation.
