Nina Schindler

European Association of Co-operative Banks (EACB)

Nina Schindler has been serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the European Association of Co-operative Banks (EACB) since February 2021. She is responsible for leading the association’s strategic initiatives, advocating for cooperative banks at the European level, and representing the interests of EACB members in dialogues with policymakers and regulatory bodies.

Before joining EACB, Nina led the Government and Public Affairs EU division at Deutsche Bank starting in 2017. She was tasked with shaping the banks’ policy positions, engaging with EU institutions and managing regulatory and public affairs strategies. Her extensive career in financial services includes similar positions at Commerzbank and the Association of German Banks in Brussels.

Nina is involved in various committees, including as President of the European Banking Industry Committee (EBIC) and as an active member of the European Payments Council (EPC) and the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG), where she contributes to shaping policies and standards in the financial sector.

Nina graduated as a lawyer in Germany and holds an LL.M. from the University of Exeter in the UK.
