Nick is a Senior Advisor in the Prudential Regulation Authority’s UK Deposit-Takers Directorate. He was previously Head of Building Societies supervision, and has been a bank and building society supervisor for over 30 years. He is currently co-leading the PRA team working on development of a new ‘Strong and Simple’ prudential regime for smaller, non-systemic UK banks and building societies.

Nick worked for Barclays Bank in the UK for 15 years, before becoming a regulator. As well as supervising UK banks and building societies, he has been involved in implementation work on mortgage regulation, bank capital rules, stress testing, liquidity management, interest rate risk management and regulatory reporting.
