Marcus Barboza has been serving as the Chief Risk Officer at Sicredi since 2023. He is responsible for leading integrated risk management, including market, liquidity, credit, operational, data protection and privacy, and social, environmental and climate risks.

He is also responsible for capital management and planning and corporate security. He has worked at Itaú Unibanco, Cielo, and Banco Safra and, from 2018 to 2021, served as Senior Manager of Credit Risks at Sicredi.

He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), a master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA), is a CFA charterholder and has a postgraduate degree in Strategic Risk Management from The Wharton School.
