Jeremy is a Senior Adviser in the Bank’s Central Bank Digital Currency Unit.  He has worked in the Bank since 1996, mainly on financial stability, financial markets and the Bank’s Market Operations.  He has focused on digital money since 2019, initially assessing the implications of Facebook’s Libra proposal and then stablecoins more broadly and CBDC.  He has contributed to a number of international reports for the Bank, as well as the Bank’s June 2021 Discussion Paper on Digital Money.
