David Murano is Deputy Chief Executive at the cooperative bank Caja Ingenieros, based in Barcelona. David has 28 years of experience in the financial sector, half of them in cooperative banking. He began his finance career in London, first at Nomura, the Japanese Investment Bank, and later at Newton Investment Management. In Spain, he has held senior roles at CaixaBank, including Director of Market and ALM Risk Management, and Director of Risk Models and Capital Analysis. David is a certified Financial Risk Manager and holds MBA degrees from the Thunderbird School of Global Management (USA) and ESADE (Spain).
