Christopher Woolard CBE is a partner at EY. He chairs the EY Global Regulatory Network and is a Member of the UK Board. He also leads EY’s UK financial services regulation practice, and the UK Fintech practice. Chris had a 25-year career in UK public service before joining EY, including serving on the board of the Financial Conduct Authority and as its interim chief executive. He was also a member of the Bank of England’s Financial Policy Committee and the Prudential Regulation Committee. Internationally, he has served on the IOSCO Board and a member of the Financial Stability Board’s strategic risk committee. Chris founded the FCA’s Project Innovate and Regulatory Sandbox, which has been emulated in 40 countries. In 2021 he was appointed CBE for services to financial regulation and fintech.
