Ben Perkins is Head of Operations at Plain Numbers. He works with organisations to help ensure the way that they communicate with consumers is clear, fair and never misleading. He is responsible for supporting firms from across a range of sectors, including financial services, to implement an approach which allows more customers to understand communications and therefore achieve good outcomes. The work of Plain Numbers was referenced twice in the latest consultation paper on a new Consumer Duty.

Prior to joining Plain Numbers, Ben worked for the charity National Numeracy where he worked closely with people who have the lowest confidence in numeracy and gained an in depth understanding of their experiences as customers. He also qualified as a journalist and has extensive background in training for organisations.
