Andrew Turvey

Chair
Bank of England’s Reporting Transformation Committee

Andrew is the Director of Prudential Risk at Belmont Green, a £1.8bn non-bank mortgage lender. He has recently been elected chair of the Bank of England’s Reporting Transformation Committee, which is part of the regulators’ joint programme, working with reporting firms to Transform Data Collection. He is passionate about the potential for the programme to deliver meaningful improvements giving both greater efficiency for firms and better data quality for regulators. Through incremental, pragmatic and scalable change and a focus on common data standards, modernised reporting instructions and integrated reporting, the ten year programme intends to deliver leaner, clearer and less burdensome regulatory reporting.

Andrew has worked for a number of Banks and Building Societies in a variety of Finance and Risk Management roles. These roles have used data as a building block for reporting (management, statutory and regulatory) and managing financial risks (especially credit, liquidity and market). He has implemented a number of data-heavy internal systems, including Treasury and Asset & Liability Management (ALM) systems, regulatory reporting systems and securitisation reporting.
