Andrew is Head of Savings and Economics at the Building Societies Association (BSA) He joined the BSA 18 years ago as an economist, and oversees its work on savings policy, digital, economic analysis and statistics. He led the launch of the annual UK Savings Week campaign, which seeks to engage people in saving. He has written a book, Building Societies in the Financial Services Industry, together with Professor Barbara Casu at Bayes Business School, and continues to conduct and coordinate research on building societies and their core markets. Before building societies, he worked in the finance departments of a couple of major retailers.
